How to create a package in WHM

 

Here you will be explained about creation of a package in a WHM.  Below is the step by step guide to create a package in WHM under your newly purchased reseller hosting where you can assign the maximum resources to your clients.


Step1: The first and the foremost step is to open the WHM account by using your IP address and then adding 2087 at the end for example 103.xxx.xx.xx:2087 or you can even open the WHM by typing the IP address in the address bar and using /whm at the end. Ex. 103.xxx.xx.xx/whm. Once you see the WHM login screen you can enter in the username and password which has been provided to you by the Domain and hosting provider.

 

 

Step 2: Once you have loggen in to the WHM account. You will be able to see a page which will show you many options. Below is the screenshot of the Homepage of WHM.

 

 

Step 3: On the left bottom screen you will be able to see an option which says Add package or you can even search it in the search box. Once you have clicked on the add package option you will be able to many options. Below is the screenshot of the add package page.

 

 

Step 4: Once you are on the add package, you will be able to see many options as it has been shown in the above screenshot. Some of the options available are Disk Quota, Monthly Bandwidth, Max FTP Accounts, Max Email accounts, Max databases, Max Sub Domains and Maximum Addon domains. Some of the important functions in add package option are:


Max Database: Through this option a reseller can assign the number of database in a particular package. A database contains all the data that is on the website.


Max Sub Domains: Through this function a reseller can limit the number of sub domain a particular client can create.


Max Parked Domains: Through this option a reseller can limit the number domain a client can park.


Max Addon Domain: This is the maximum number of domain a particular client can add in a package which he has been provided with.


Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed: A reseller can limit the maximum number of emails a client can send in an hour from a particular domain.
