Making the switch from HTTP to HTTPS:


  1. Get a security certificate and install on the server: You need to enquire about the SSL Certificate details with your hosting provider and pay for the same once it is done you can login to our WHM and select the appropriate account to get installed with SSL.


Go to the SSL Module and select the domain name from the drop down menu and click on create, its starts installing the complete package and wait for some time.


  1. Update references in your content: Once SSL Certificate gets installed you need to search and replace all the http url to https and save it. Also need to update the database table column values one by one if you are using CMS.


  1. Update any plugins/modules/add-ons: Next you need to make sure that nothing breaks and that nothing contains insecure content inside your plugins or modules used in your application.


  1. Update all files related to SEO: Delete all the old files like sitemap.xml, robot.txt files and many more which you have added to increase your traffic and create new files with https redirection. Make sure that you have updated all your backlinks and google analytics with HTTPS.
