Setting up an FTP Dump on a Dedicated Machine via Plesk panel

For Plesk 12.x

 

>>> First log into your cPanel

 

>>> In there under Hosting Service choose Subscriptions and then click on Add Subscription to create a domain called Upload.yourdomainname.com

 

>>> Now in there give it a random FTP username and password and click on Ok

 

>>> Next click on the domain name and click on the Websites and Domain option and click on FTP Access

 

>>> Now click on Create Additional FTP Account option

 

>>> Now in here you need to add the new FTP account with the below details:

  •  FTP account name:  [USERNAME]
  •  Home directory:  /private
  •  New FTP password:  [PASSWORD]
  •  Confirm FTP password:  [PASSWORD]
  •  Read permission:  Checked
  •  Write permission:  Checked

 

>>> At last click on Ok

 

For Plesk 11.x

 

>>> Log into Plesk panel

 

>>> Now on the home tab on the My Webspaces option click on Add Webspace

 

>>> Now in here you need to create a domain called upload.yourdomainname.com where yourdomainname.com will be the domain name that you want to work with

 

>>> Next give a random FTP username and password and click on Ok

 

>>> Next click on your domain name,  and click on the Websites & Domains tab. Click on FTP Access

 

>>> Click on Create Additional FTP Account options

 

>>> Now in here you need to Add new FTP Account with the below details-

  •  FTP account name: USERNAME
  •  Home directory: /private
  •  New FTP password: PASSWORD
  •  Confirm FTP password:  PASSWORD
  •  Read permission: Checked
  •  Write permission: Checked

 

>>> At last click on Ok

 

For Plesk 9.x

 

>>> First Log into your control panel

 

>>> Now click on Domain And click on Domain and in there you need to type a new domain called upload.yourdomainname.com where youdomainame.com is the name of the domain for which you want to set up FTP

 

>>> On next step you need to give some random FTP username and password and click on Finish

 

>>> Next click on domain and click on FTP accounts

 

>>> Now you need to click on Add New FTP Accounts and add the new FTP accounts details:

  •  FTP Account Name: USERNAME
  •  Home Directory: /private
  •  New Password: PASSWORD
  •  Confirm Password: PASSWORD
  •  Read permission: Checked
  •  Write permission: Checked

 

>>> Once everything is done click on Ok
